Investment Portugal | Texturizing & Stretch Fabrics

In the first quarter of 2021, MEHLER started its investment project for manufacturing the production chain for stretch fabrics completely in-house.
The required texturizing, assembling and twisting machines were purchased for the fabric plant in Vila Nova de Famalicão / Portugal.
In the meantime, the first production line for producing the texturized threads has been installed and first sample production was successfully.
With this investment, MEHLER covers the entire production process of stretch fabrics in-house: from texturizing, assembling, twisting, through weaving, tumbling, treating and testing the stretch fabrics with high elongation.
Among others, applications of stretch fabrics are timing belts and hoses.
