Due to the most recent COVID-19 lockdown in the heavily affected Indian state Karnataka, the MEHLER plant in Bangalore had to be completely closed from May 10th to June 07th.

Since June 07th, production is running again. The Indian Government allowed exporting companies to resume production at a 30 % utilization level in a first step.

The lockdown has affected MEHLER’s export business, making shipments to other parts of the world difficult. Thanks to MEHLER’s global presence and the detailed coordination between the plants, we were able to serve our overseas customers from other production locations.

We are glad that our Indian colleagues have coped well with the difficult situation they and their families had to face in recent weeks. We are extremely pleased that they are all in good health, even if some have been infected by the coronavirus.
