Capacity Expansion | MEHLER India

Posted: September 7, 2021

After the last national lockdown in May / June 2021 due to COVID-19, the MEHLER plant in Bangalore / India was quickly operating at full capacity again after re-opening. At this point, we would also like to thank our Indian team for their great commitment and engagement that made it possible so fast.

The market for technical textiles continues to grow steadily in India and worldwide. Thanks to the achieved international quality standards, we can fulfill the most demanding requirements of our customers in India and overseas. To be able to meet the increased demand, MEHLER is expanding its production capacities in Bangalore. An additional treating line for engineered yarns is currently being installed. On this treating line, soft cords for end applications like hoses and tires will be impregnated with the RF-free dip MEHLER SUSTAIN ADHESIVE (MSA) or standard RFL treatments to achieve adhesion to different rubber compounds.

The first regular production will start in the fourth quarter of 2021.
